In today’s sermon we’re going to study Rev 4:1-11. When you first read these verses you might think, “What’s going on here?” Why does Jesus take John to a “church service” right off the bat? I’m sure it was beautiful ceremony but it seems irrelevant. Why not just get right down to the nitty gritty and tell us what we REALLY want to know—tell us about the conflict between the forces of good and evil. Tell us about the conflict between Satan’s army and the angels of God? Why start with a worship service? Why? Because that’s where God KNEW we needed to begin. And so it is...let’s go! God bless you. In chapter 15 Paul turns to a theological problem, in contrast to the largely behavioral problems he’s dealt with so far. Some Corinthian’s were denying that in the future believers will be raised from the dead. So Paul begins this chapter by pointing to something the Corinthians believed. What is it? Stay with us and let’s find out together. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Today we begin a brand new sermon series called God Goes To War. Over the next 9-weeks we’re going to go through the entire book of Revelation—you heard right. That’s 22 chapters in 9-weeks and it’s gonna be epic. Now today’s sermon is called Standing Against Evil and the main Scripture reference is Rev 1:1-11. But in actuality we’ll be covering the first 3-chapters of Rev. You see these 3 chapters are often seen as being separate from the rest of the book. But they’re not. And understanding that is foundational to studying the rest of the book. And so it begins...let’s go! God bless you. Thanks for listening! In today’s passage Paul writes about the confusion spiritual languages can bring to the church and, as a result, make worship chaotic, instead of orderly. As we study the text, 1 Cor 14:1-12, 26-33a, note how spiritual gifts and worship should always build up the church. Thanks for listening, God bless you! Hey folks! Well we’ve finally reached the end of this series. This has been a hard-hitting yet very practical journey that begs the question “Are you a “FAN” of Jesus Christ?” or are you a fully, committed “FOLLOWER?” In this final sermon the question is “Are You Sold Out for Jesus?” Are you willing to give it all to follow Jesus? The Scripture reference for today is found in Luke 18:18-30 and here is where we’ll find out the answer to that question. So open your Bible of Bible app to Luke 18 and let’s go! God bless you. Aug 10 – 1 Corinthians – Pt 10 – Love
Wednesday Aug 10, 2022
Wednesday Aug 10, 2022
1 Cor 13:1–13 is one of the most loved and well-known passages in the Bible, but Paul places it after his teaching on the spiritual gifts for a specific reason. Why did he do that? And Paul uses 14 verbs to describe what love does and does not do. Do you know what those verbs are and why they’re important for us to understand? Stay with us and we’ll find out the answers to those questions and a whole lot more. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

About the worst thing you can call somebody in Church is a “Pharisee”. The Pharisees were THE “bad guys” in Scripture and seemed to always be the main group that Jesus singled out as examples of who His followers should NOT be like. We don’t want to be Pharisees. How many of you would not want to be a Pharisee? But apparently we could become like them if we’re not careful. Let’s talk about it. God bless you. Thanks for listening! Is the cross of Jesus Christ offensive to you? Many have said it was until they came it. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.” What does this mean exactly and why should it be important in your life? This is something we all should know and act upon. Stay tuned and we’ll tell you more. God bless you. Thanks for listening! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
