Oct 21 – Lessons in Nehemiah – Pt 11 – Keeping Our Promises
Sunday Oct 22, 2023
Sunday Oct 22, 2023
Today we conclude our amazing journey through the Book of Nehemiah. You would think that the last chapter of this great book would contain encouraging and compelling stories of how God’s people took their spiritual commitment to the next level. Frankly, this script does not have a happy ending. Within a relatively short period of time, the children of Israel went spiritually flat and returned to their old ways of doing things which violated God’s laws and allowed the world’s system to press them into its mold. What was the result? Were they able to recover? Stay with us and we’ll find out the answers to those questions and much more. Thanks for listening. God bless you! Oct 18 – Pt 5 – James – Greetings & Enduring Trials and Temptations
Wednesday Oct 18, 2023
Wednesday Oct 18, 2023
Today we start our study in the book of James. The letter reads like a Monday morning office memo. From the beginning James expects his readers to put their faith into action. He addresses practical issues that are as current as this morning’s newspaper. He tells us that the faith that Christians claim must be demonstrated in all the situations and circumstances of life—at work, at home, in the neighborhood, in church. And trials and hardships shouldn’t be seen as hindrances to faith, but as opportunities to exercise healthy faith. Knowing God’s Word is not enough. We’ve got to apply that knowledge to our everyday lives—real faith is the application of God’s truth to ourselves. So let’s begin. Thanks for listening. Blessings and love in Christ! Sunday Oct 15, 2023
Today we’ll come across a situation where the Israelites are faced with a national referendum. But instead of taking a vote, they cast lots to determine what should be done. They didn’t believe in “luck” or “chance.” They actually were so committed to the sovereignty of God that they knew God would direct the outcome of the lots according to His divine providence. Question: Do you believe God will direct the outcomes in your life according to His divine providence? Let’s talk about it. Thanks for listening. God bless you! Oct 4 – Titus, Pt 3– Doing What Is Good/Paul’s Final Remarks & Greetings
Wednesday Oct 04, 2023
Wednesday Oct 04, 2023
Today we conclude our short study of Titus. In chapter 3 Paul reminds Titus of 7-positive behaviors and 7-contrasting sins, which he insists are taught correctly. In addition false teachers were to be cut off and not given a public platform. We’ll also talk about how believers shouldn’t waste time bickering, but focus on good works and urgent needs. And lastly we’ll find in this passage that salvation is entirely the result of God’s grace, not our own good deeds. That’s a lot of ground to cover but it’s going to be awesome so let’s get to it! Thanks for listening. Blessings and love in Christ! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Wednesday Sep 20, 2023

Today we begin a new study in the book of Titus. Paul wrote this letter at about the same time as his first letter to Timothy. And the reason he wrote it was to bolster Titus’ authority as Paul’s apostolic representative in Crete and to give Titus clear instruction about each aspect of his work in the churches there. Paul has some really strong words for the Cretans. Let’s find out what they were. Thanks for listening. Blessings and love in Christ! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
