Jun 26 – The Counter Cultural Christian – Pt 4
Sunday Jun 26, 2022
Sunday Jun 26, 2022
In Ecc 4, Solomon deals with an issue that frustrates many people in our world. It’s the issue of “unfairness”—that things just aren’t always right and fair in this life. Inside each one of us is an inner voice that tells us that all things should be fair. But then we see oppression, tragedy and sorrow and we say, “Well that’s just not right,” or “This shouldn’t be happening!” What then are we to do? We’re going to answer that question a whole lot more so stay with us and let’s find out. Thanks for listening! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Very often we don’t even think about the stability of our homes or other buildings until an earthquake or storm hits. Then we start hoping the architect and builder laid a strong foundation with safety in mind. Today we’re going to talk about the need to build the church on the one secure foundation of Jesus Christ because if we don’t...all that building will be in vain! Thanks for listening, God bless you! Sunday Jun 19, 2022
Sunday Jun 19, 2022
Working for the glory of God and not yourself is counter cultural. Taking pride in your work because it’s for the Lord and not yourself is also counter cultural. When we work, we are called to act in a way that honors God and that is counter cultural as well. So that begs the question: Are you working in a way that honors God? And if not do you know how you can? We’re going to answer those questions and much more let’s get to it. Thanks for listening! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Jun 15 – 1 Corinthians – Pt 2 – True Wisdom
Wednesday Jun 15, 2022
Wednesday Jun 15, 2022
Today Christians are sometimes mocked as not being too bright. It is said that we “follow our faith blindly.” Yet, as we are about to find out, we follow a God who has all wisdom and shares it with us so that we may boast in Him and not ourselves. In our journey today we’ll consider the nature of Christian wisdom and how it compares to the “wisdom” of the world. And we’ll be reminded that we are able to accomplish anything if we rely on the power and wisdom of God. Thanks for listening, God bless you! Jun 5 – The Counter Cultural Christian – Pt 1
Sunday Jun 05, 2022
Sunday Jun 05, 2022
Being a counter-cultural Christian is a strong Biblical theme. Jesus told His followers in John 15:19, “...you are no longer part of the world” (NLT). Paul told the Romans, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world,” (Rom 12:2, NLT). But it is quite another thing to figure out just what that means. There are multiple cultures and sub-cultures in the world which proclaim and embody different values, ideas and intuitions. How do we decide what we are to be counter too? Over the next few weeks we’re going to answer that question (and more) so buckle up and get ready because we fixin’ to get to it. Thanks for listening! Jun 1 – Philippians – Pt 7 – A Call to Rejoice
Wednesday Jun 01, 2022
Wednesday Jun 01, 2022
Unity, joy and contentment! These are blessings that only God can provide and Paul has emphasized them throughout this letter to the Philippians. And he continues by concluding with truly uplifting words. After urging some people in the church to make up with each other, he goes on to call them all to rejoice in the Lord always. While part of his own reason for rejoicing is a gift of support they had sent for him, he divulges the true and deeper reason behind his joy. Are you ready to find out what that reason is? Then come on...let’s do this. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

May 25 – Philippians – Pt 6 – Pressing On Toward Christ
Wednesday May 25, 2022
Wednesday May 25, 2022
Having written about his past and present, as well as his relationship to the Philippians, Paul now looks at where he is going. He was not one to “stand pat” or rest on what he had already accomplished. He was always looking to do more. For him that meant setting everything else aside, so that he might reach his goal of being like Christ. That is the spirit Paul had and the spirit he sought to engender in others. Let’s talk about it. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
