The book of Revelation is an incredible book wrapping up the other 65 books of the Bible and placing the seal on God's revelation to mankind. It touches on so many key themes of Scripture, drawing imagery and examples from all over the Bible. But there is one central theme. It is the theme of the entire Bible actually. Hi friends. We’ve about to embark on an incredible Bible study of the Book of Revelation. There are many who shy away from this book for various reasons. But we won’t. Revelation is an important book and Scripture is inspired by God and it’s intended to be an encouragement for the Church. It was meant to encourage God’s people that He has a plan, that Jesus IS coming back and that in the end Jesus wins (as do we) and Satan losses. The Book of Ephesians has two major divisions: Doctrine (chapters 1-3), and Duty (chapters 4-6:1-9). The first half exalts our position in Christ, while the second half exhorts us to put it into practice. We believe there’s actually a third section of the book we should call spiritual warfare (chapter 6:10-24). Today, in Part 1, we’re going to talk about Being Strong with the Lord and Standing Firm. Today we are going to finish our study of this amazing Book of Jude. In verses 17-25 we’ll see how Jude encouraged believers to stand firm against false teachers by remembering apostolic warnings, building themselves up in faith, praying in the Spirit and by keeping in God’s love. Jude also urged the believers to show mercy to those doubting and to save others. And he concluded with a wonderful doxology praising God’s power to keep believers from stumbling. If you have children, or grandchildren, what do you want for them? That’s a fair question but what if it’s the wrong question? Knowing what you want for your child or grandchild is one thing but perhaps the better question should be, “What is the goal of parenting?” Because we believe the answer to that question will not only answer the first one but several others as well.
