In today’s passage Peter describes how Christians should live. We’re going to learn that we have to mentally engage in setting all of our hope in God’s future grace for us. We also need to choose to act as those who are God’s own people and reject the evil desires that drive our actions. Friends, our choices matter. Our God placed a high value on our lives, paying for them with the blood of Christ. So, since God has made us able, we must now strive to earnestly give love to each other. Wednesday Mar 15, 2023

Today’s Scripture, 1 Pet 1:1-12, is one of the most loved passages in all of Scripture. It begins as a blessing to God, but also describes how incredibly He has blessed us in Christ. Because Jesus has risen from the dead, our hope is not a wish—it is as alive as He is. Our inheritance as God’s children is eternal, full of glory, and secured forever. Even in our suffering, we have every reason to rejoice. The mystery of God’s plan has been revealed to us in Christ. We are being saved! PTL! Thanks for listening, God bless you! Welcome to our new sermon series called Passion. Over the next few weeks we’re going to look intently at the passion narrative, as it’s often called, that leads to resurrection Sunday. Wednesday Mar 01, 2023
Wednesday Mar 01, 2023
The ending of New Testament letters is always important to slow down and consider. They usually give some final warnings and final instructions for the recipients of the letter. Paul has written this letter to the Corinthians to spiritually build them up before he arrives. He wants them to make changes in their lives by looking at how Paul has treated them and model a life in Christ. One of the primary messages of this book is that we are made perfect and complete through our weaknesses, sufferings, trials, and difficulties. But there’s still more for us to discover as we close out this study so let’s get to it. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.

Feb 15 – 2 Corinthians – Pt 19– Paul’s Vision & Thorn in the Flesh
Wednesday Feb 15, 2023
Wednesday Feb 15, 2023
The opening verses of chapter 12 contain Paul's description of an astonishing experience. He was transported, in some sense, to the third heaven or paradise, where he received an unspeakable revelation from God. And to keep him humble afterwards, God gave him a “thorn in the flesh” and refused to remove it despite Paul's pleas. What was the vision all about and why did God refuse to remove the “thorns”? All that and more on our journey today. Thanks for listening, God bless you! To find out more about our church please go to www.whccnb.org.
