What is your motivation in serving the Lord? Do you desire to be the star of God’s plan, receiving all the attention? Are you jealous when someone else receives more attention than you? Or can you be satisfied with becoming less, fading more into the background while someone else is recognized more—while Jesus becomes more? It’s easy to forget what we’re all about and how we fit into God’s plan. And if we’re not careful then pride can begin to take over and sin will take root. Is it possible to guard against that?
