Feb 16 – A Journey Through Acts, Pt 42 – The Cost of Following Jesus

Lots of people have a romantic notion about following Jesus, like seeing that classic convertible on the side of the road and dreaming about how neat it would be to drive with the top down. But when they call the number on the sign and find out how much it costs they decide it’s just too much. The same can be said of following Jesus. People love the idea of eternal life, escaping hell and having Jesus at their beck and call. But they are not willing to leave the life they now live. Today’s text, Acts 19:21-41 describes the importance of counting the cost of following Jesus. And we’re going to learn that it’s costly to follow Jesus but it’s worth it. Thanks for listening.
