Dec 10 – God With Us – Pt 3, The Promise of Joy

Joy is a lot like puppies. Fortunately, it’s not as hairy and doesn’t make a mess—joy is boundless and uncontainable. Joy overflows and when you’ve experienced joy, you want to share it with someone else—or as many people as you can. Joy bubbles over and touches everyone it comes in contact with. Joy is what we are celebrating on this third Sunday of Advent, The Promise of Joy. Today we’re going to look closer at Elizabeth, Zechariah’s wife, because in the story of God With Us, she deeply experienced joy in the midst of the miraculous events she found herself suddenly in the middle of. But to understand Elizabeth’s joy, we have to understand a little bit about her pain. So let’s talk about it. Thanks for listening. God bless you!
